Inside Indiana Business: Genesis Announces New Hires

A provider of contract manufacturing, development and engineering of radio frequency (RF) welded products, Genesis Plastics Welding is pleased to announce the addition of Jon D. Harvey as Sr. Product and Process Development Engineer. With more than 25 years in the engineering industry, Harvey is focused on improving Genesis’ automation and production processes.

“We believe firmly in taking a good process and making it better for our clients,” says Tom Ryder, CEO and president of Genesis Plastics Welding. “Jon’s experience and expertise will help us bring that goal to fruition.”

Harvey holds both an associate’s and bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He has worked in the aerospace industry as an experimental product/ process casting engineer for Rolls-Royce as well as an advanced turbine engine design engineer for Allison Advanced Development Company. While there, he was co-awarded two patents for a high-temperature airfoil design.

Genesis Plastics Welding is also pleased to announce the addition of Andrew Kaucher as Product and Process Development Engineer to assist clients in the R&D process. Prior to joining Genesis, Kaucher worked as a Process Engineer for medical device manufacturer Cook Biotech.

“With our recent ISO 13485:2003 certification, Genesis Plastics Welding is extending its reach even deeper into both medical device manufacturing as well as concept-to-commercialization production,” says Tom Ryder, CEO and president of Genesis Plastics Welding. “Andrew’s experience will be a great asset to our clients as we accommodate increasing demand for our RF plastics welding services across numerous segments, especially medical device manufacturing.”
