Genesis Plastics Welding, a Fortville-based contract manufacturer, is pleased to announce the addition of Debra Wilkerson as supply chain management and accounting specialist. Wilkerson brings to Genesis 12 years of logistical planning and accounting experience and is in charge of coordinating all supplies and services necessary to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.

As a cross-functional leader, Wilkerson will synchronize all supply chain functions, including purchasing, logistics, inventory and sourcing materials and services from Genesis’ extensive network of distributors and suppliers in order to meet changing levels of demand for customers and to guarantee smooth production. As an accounting specialist, Wilkerson will also assist in maintaining Genesis’ lean manufacturing processes to continue to provide customers with cost-effective, top-quality solutions.

Before joining the Genesis team, Wilkerson worked as a transportation specialist in charge of rail load planning and training, shipload quality control and vehicle processing for the U.S. Army. She also specialized as an equity dividend associate for Salomon Brothers International. Wilkerson received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Tampa and an MBA in supply chain management from the University of Tennessee. Outside of her fast-paced career, Wilkerson, a resident of Fishers, spends her down time enjoying quiet activities such as reading and knitting.
