Genesis Plastics Welding will be hosting its 2nd annual blood drive on Wednesday, June 10th from 2 pm to 7 pm. The Blood Mobile will be conveniently located in our parking lot at 720 E. Broadway, Fortville IN and we invite those in the area to attend.

Every minute, patients use more than 36 units of blood or blood products and each day approximately 40,000 units of blood are used throughout the U.S. There is a great need for donors as every day more people are diagnosed with illness such as cancer, leukemia and sickle cell disease, all which utilize blood for treatment and can often require up to 200 units of blood. Summer tends to be the hardest time for the Indiana Blood Center to meet hospitals’ needs for around 550 units of blood each day.

Last year, thanks to generous donors, the Genesis Community Blood Drive raised 21 units of blood, enough to impact 63 lives here in Indiana at over 60 hospitals served by the Indiana Blood Center. We are happy to play a role in bringing together community members for a meaningful cause and hope to inspire others to give back.
