President and CEO
Being part of a family-owned and operated company firmly founded on entrepreneurial spirit and serving others has been a welcome challenge (and reward) for Tom, who was named president and CEO in 2010 after holding other leadership positions at Genesis Plastics Welding. Under his leadership, the company has seen several expansions and revenue has increased. With a diverse contract manufacturing background, he maintains Genesis’ eye on continuous improvement, engineering innovation and cutting-edge heat sealing solutions that take clients around the world to the forefront of their industries, no matter what stage of life their product is within. Acting as a bridge for the client, Tom and his team are all about being a valued partner and help to take their customers to that next step, whether it be prototyping, validation, contract manufacturing with Genesis Plastics Welding, or sourcing cost-effective manufacturing in other parts of the world.
As the company’s visionary, Tom leads the senior management team in setting strategic direction, striving to continually improve customer service and manufacturing quality. Additionally, Tom is a board and committee member for the Indiana Medical Device Manufacturers’ Council (IMDMC).
Director of Advanced Manufacturing and Technology
Our resident radio frequency heat sealing expert, Dale Wagner has been in the plastics sealing industry for over 31 years. He is an expert in mechanical engineering and in all RF welding technologies. During his years with Genesis Plastics Welding, Dale has steadily increased manufacturing capacity to support production growth through equipment acquisition and facilities management.
Quality Assurance Manager
A Six Sigma Black Belt, Ana Dawes brings over 20 years of quality engineering and quality management system experience to Genesis Plastics Welding. Highly skilled in quality disciplines, including statistical study and Six Sigma methodology, her quality engineering and inspection technique experience will be a key asset in early-stage quality assurance planning as Genesis Plastics Welding continues to grow. Additionally, Ana is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE).
Prior to joining the Genesis team, Ana worked in automotive and medical device senior quality engineering roles. She is a Chemical Engineering graduate from Texas A&M University – Kingsville, and a previous President’s Award winner for her work on waste reduction within Six Sigma projects.
Experienced in managing ERP and MRP systems for small to large multinational corporations, Alan Kovach has over 30 years of experience in accounting and finance within the manufacturing setting. Prior to joining Genesis Plastics Welding in 2010, Alan held management positions within Delco Remy International, Spacelabs, Inc. (a division of Squib Medical Systems), Marpac Products Inc. and Avis Industrial Corp.
A dynamic manufacturing professional with a “can do attitude” and a knack for inspiring those around him, Brian Long has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of manufacturing operations. As a Six Sigma Black Belt, he is ever steadfast on continuous improvement measures and meeting customer’s needs and business goals efficiently. Additionally, he often notes, that there is something uniquely powerful about true teamwork, and successful companies advance through teams of people who were in harmony with one another.
Prior to joining the Genesis Plastics Welding team, Long held production management positions with GE and Peerless Pump. He is a Bachelor of Science in Business Management graduate from Fresno Pacific University and holds his MBA from University of Tennessee Haslam College of Business.
VP of Product Development
An Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis graduate, Nathan Glass brings nearly ten years of project management and engineering experience to Genesis Plastics Welding. Prior to joining Genesis Plastics Welding, he was a senior product development engineer at Ambu, formerly King Systems Corporation, a manufacturer of life-supporting devices for hospitals and rescue services. Throughout his career, Nathan has closely worked with sales and marketing teams, as well as Quality personnel to launch innovative medical device products. He enjoys working in the areas of material selection, design, technical documentation, and project management.
Business Development Executive
Michael Finley brings an impressive background in sales, business development, and strategic marketing to Genesis Plastics Welding. His professional experience includes 14 years within industrial and medical markets, including a strong focus on customer-centric relationships and corporate growth initiatives.
Michael is a Marian University graduate. Prior to joining Genesis Plastics Welding, he held sales and project management roles at Arcamed Medical Device Manufacturing and Fastenal. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with sales and marketing teams to exceed business goals. In his role with the company, Michael is responsible for developing and supporting new business from conception to production.
Kevin Mauser possesses an impressive background with over 10 years of helping teams complete projects and improve processes within the medical device, military and consumer industries. Prior to joining the Genesis team, he managed a multi-disciplinary engineering team for a global manufacturer of interventional catheters, tube sets and other assemblies for medical devices. Kevin holds a Purdue University Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering, with a focus on signal processing, neural stimulation and thin-film circuitry. He has several patents under his belt and has been published in EDUCAUSE.
