Indiana Set-Up Technician Job Opening

Genesis Plastics Welding is hiring for a Set-Up Technician at our Indianapolis-area headquarters, in Fortville, Indiana.

This position is directly responsible for setting up and preparing work areas for production activity.  The Set-Up Technician also keeps tooling in good condition and maintains tooling in appropriate storage areas.  This position reports to the production supervisor. The position will require more than just an applicant who has worked factory jobs or been around machines.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to work with and provide service to equipment operators
• Understanding of mechanical equipment and setup techniques
• Strong analytical skills and required attention to details
• Flexible work schedule

Duties:

• Plans and performs setup and startups per production schedule
• Makes machine and tool adjustments as necessary to ensure optimum efficiency and quality
• Performs preventative and or emergency maintenance on equipment and tooling
• Conducts trouble shooting and corrective activities on production equipment and tooling
• Perform 1st cycle quality checks and identify defects
• Read and understand product specifications
• Complete necessary paperwork for maintaining proper documentation of setup and quality requirements
• Follow all safety guidelines
